Aanya Aurora – Founder

A student of Class XII at Mallya Aditi International School, I would like to pursue my studies majoring in Economics. I am also passionate about making a positive impact on society through community service projects that I have initiated and led (Flood Relief for Kerala & Kodagu and “OPTIVISION INDIA”).

I believe I have deeper insights, which excite me to learn continually and discover things in a new light. With deep orientation in studies, I have a strong desire to help make things better in the world around me, and this is where my other passion of giving back to society originates. I founded “OPTIVISION INDIA,” which aims to help needy children, a large number of whom have a visual impairment.

I want to pursue my studies concentrating in Economics and will convert my learning into a tool that would eventually help social causes. During my earlier involvement in many programs dedicated to social causes, I observed that vision problems are quite common in underprivileged children, and I always wondered if I could do something for them? The idea of OPTIVISION INDIA sprang up, and I envisaged that the primary goal of this eye health check-up program would be to provide necessary and early correction of eye health problems in underprivileged children. This program would serve an important social cause. Preventive and pro-motive eye care is of immense importance in a country like ours with low per capita income, where a majority of affected children are underprivileged with less accessibility to such eye care services.
